And it won't cost 10's of trillions of dollars like liberals War to Retain Poverty.

And which encourages all the bad behavior by massively subsidizing it.

what are the best ways to avoid falling into poverty?
The Brookings Institution has spent a great deal of effort studying this issue.
And presidential candidate Rick Santorum has been quoting their findings on the campaign trail.
Brookings whittled down a lot of analysis into three simple rules. You can avoid poverty by:
1. Graduating from high school.
2. Waiting to get married until after 21 and do not have children till after being married.
3. Having a full-time job.
If you do all those three things, your chance of falling into poverty is just 2 percent. Meanwhile, you’ll have a 74 percent chance of being in the middle class....

These rules apply to all races and ethnic groups. Breaking these rules is becoming more commonplace, unfortunately, for all racial groups.
By contrast, young adults who violated all three norms — dropped out, got married before 21 and had children out of wedlock and didn’t have a full-time job — had a 76 percent chance of winding up in poverty and a 7 percent chance of winding up in the middle class.

That's just stupid - there are far better ways to avoid poverty. Here are three:

1. Have a large trust fund. Studies show that persons with large trust funds fall into poverty at a rate of less than 1/100th of 1%.
2. Graduate from Harvard Law School. Less than 1/10th of 1% of Harvard Law School graduates fall into poverty.
3. Start a successful Fortune 500 business. There are no reports of owners of such businesses falling into poverty.

Neither you nor the writer who's opinion this belongs to have any data to back up any of these 'rules' of course.

cannon's, bludog's and mine are equally true.

I say one can avoid the risk of poverty by:

Having parents who don't beat or sodomize you as a child.

Being born with an intelligence level that enables you to finish high school and find a full time job that pays above minimum wage.

Not being born deaf, dumb and blind.

Being attractive enough to attract an ugly rich man or woman.

Honestly, you need to go back to the business op eds, Clem.

The first two are self discipline basically. The third takes that also but selling yourself as a responsible adult becomes key.
The other posters are just fucking around with their heads crammed in their quiet hole.
None of theirs are anything but luck and circumstance. All stuff that is beyond a thinking person's control.
They just don't like you which makes their arguments disingenuous.
