Sure are a lot of wealthy and powerful here. Everyone knows what they are like, what they do, etc. So out of touch are you elites that you argue about poor fucks that are fat.

Fat people eat shit that isn't healthy and then they don't do anything about it. Rich or poor, how much difference is there? Which store they buy the Twinkies from?

I am not wealthy, I am not programed either. :ninja:
Nor I. It just seems like everyone is so sure of their opinion being right that they forget it's an opinion. I'm not exactly getting the "programmed" part from your post. That assumes an outside source of input has taken control.
Please explain with links, graphs, anecdotal trysts, etc. :)

I just saw that in here. An opinion posted and a challenger wanted linkage for proof. What a dink.

Of course, if you had even just a few functioning brain cells, you might be able to figure out the obvious for yourself.

So five hundred dollars a month on a ebt card isn't enough to feed a family of three nutritional meals?

Refute the points made in Post #50. They were accumulated by people who work for companies whose business it is to provide information like that to other businesses and government. Companies like that do their level professional best to come up with reports on what's really out there, and if you don't mind, I choose to believe them.

One problem with the information is that healthful food isn't expensive. Junk processed foods actually are more expensive. They are more expensive the more they are processed, because largely it is more costly to refine things and you are charged a premium for the convenience. You can get produce and grains very cheaply. It is largely a myth that good foods are expensive.

http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/featu ... -2-dollars

1. Brown Rice Serving:

Price per serving: 18 cents. A 1-pound bag costs about $1.75 and contains 10 servings.

For example, a single serving of brown rice is very healthful, and it costs approx 18cents per serving. You get a full bag for under two dollars. You cannot get that value from a processed junk food. you need to shop smartly.

2. Whole Wheat Pasta:

What's a serving? 2 ounces of dried pasta. A serving for most people translates into about 2 ounces of dried pasta, which means you get about 7 servings in the typical box or bag of dried pasta.
Price per serving? About 24 cents. You can get a 13- to 16-ounce box or bag of store-brand dried pasta for about $1.69.

The list goes on. You can get good foods cheaply. They simply don't know how, don't want to cook/or have time, or aren't knowledgeable enough about shopping.

They're fat not because of how much they eat but the fact that they eat processed, fast-acting carbohydrates in breads, cereals, fruit juices and soft drinks as opposed to eating whole foods like corn, beans, fruits, leafy greens and other slow-acting carbohydrates.

Fast-acting 'bad' carbs in processed foods turn to sugar almost instantly; the body cannot use all this instant energy and stores it as fat. Whole foods do not turn into those sugars and are not stored as fat. If you're poor and live in inner cities, your access to whole foods is limited, and what is available is usually more expensive than what suburbanites can buy at their supermarkets. Food stores in poor areas usually charge more for everything they sell because they know their customers don't have enough money to go elsewhere; they're trapped.

When bad stuff is what is in the stores where you live, what are you going to do?

"Bad" foods and "good" foods exist in EVERY store in EVERY neighborhood.
These people eat the "Bad" foods because they are too lazy to expend the effort to actually cook a healthy meal.

Well, you're wrong again, as usual. When people who are forced to feed a family on a very limited budget cannot afford to buy the kinds of foods Sally described and keep dinner on the table for a month. What was the starvation rate in America before the introduction of foodstamps---Zero.
What is the starvation rate in America since the introduction of foodstamps--------Zero.

You keep going on that these people are both obese because of foodstamps, but would starve without them...Foodstamps is not their lone option, as here in Palm Beach County there are scores of food banks which provide for these people... As I mentioned earlier in the Thread, years ago foodstamp recipients were limited to basic nutritional items that would sustain them until hopefully they could take care of themselves---but this was deemed unfair and degrading, so now they can buy what they want...Even our local 7-11's and convenience stores accept EBT Cards, and they are within walking distance of Publix and Winn Dixie... Is there any point when personal responsibility comes into play?
