Congratulations. You wrote half a good post. You wouldn't know the difference between you ass and a hole in the ground. One was done for purely partisan reasons, the other was a government shutdown you moron!

Bullshit. The national parks and the monuments neither one had to be shut down.
That was done for purely partisan reason, making it EXACTLY the same.
Hell, they had to put security at the mall to keep people out that weren't needed before. EXTRA costs to enforce their political agenda.
And don't forget that they opened those monuments for the illegal alien march.

Tell me again Obama didn't do that for political reasons.

Republicans shut down the government; national parks are run by the government.

Blow some more smoke up your own ass, you idiot.

That's simply not true. I can think of 3 off the top of my head that wouldn't split the party... Scott Walker, Rubio or Lee.

All three would.

None have much of a chance.

I saw Christie owning up to being deceived. Who's they? Bc no one else came forward, as far as I know. Wildstein or whatever even bucked his interview.

Christie admitted it was done through his office, so the veracity of the email messages is not in question. Crimes were committed through his office.

Third explanation, hot-muzzled weapon: these "emails" appear to have been patched together by someone with a rudimentary knowledge of Photoshop. Where are the names of who released the emails, rightly, in your opinion? Why has no one stepped forward to claim the credit? Could it be that whoever did is waiting to see if these allegations actually destroy Christie?

That third explanation does not jibe with port authority appointees resigning and taking the fifth - or the author of the original email resigning and disappearing from public view. You're jumping on a train that already left the station.

Yes. I supposed he did admit it. I still think that the emails are fake, but whatever. No matter what did or did not happen, I admire his willingness to admit there was wrongdoing.

I've come to that conclusion. No breath left to defend someone to the death that has already admitted guilt, though he may have not been a direct party.

I feel jaded.

He had no choice. Evidence was overwhelming. No, the emails aren't fake. And, there's hundreds of pages of them.

I will remain skeptical. If those images are screenshots of the emails, they look contrived to me.

What is there, specifically, to be "skeptical" about? Did the head of the port authority resign and take the fifth over contrived emails? Did Christie's top aid resign over such?

I don't understand what "skeptical" even means in this context. Please, tell me: skeptical about WHAT, precisely?

Your choice!

I think Christie's toast, Thrash. If he stays in office, he will never again enjoy the "above it all" veneer that kept him safe from serious scrutiny. Without that, he has far too much baggage to run for president. I'm starting to think his governorship is on very thin ice. If Kelly says "he knew," Christie is done in NJ.

Firstly, the gmail/yahoo addresses. Unless these aides were complete idiots, I doubt they would have used personal emails on known open servers.
Secondly, look at the screenshots. They just look fake. At least to me.

I can concede Christie's guilt. The emails make me leery, is all.

I think we're two years out and it's too early to make that call.

He wouldn't be the nominee either way, bridge fiasco or no bridge fiasco. He's too partisan and moderate and not rabid right-wing enough.

The emails are verified and substantiated, period. That train left the station when those people resigned and the first one took the fifth.

They looked hinky to you - okay, fine. But that issue has been settled. The same is true of the email addresses. All of your concerns have been answered in spades by the behaviors of the guilty.

Not really, but we'll go in circles on this one bc I'm not willing to concede this last point.

I'm back to not understanding what it is you won't concede? What last point? Do you deny the alleged authors of the emails resigned? I can get you links. Do you deny the port authority chief took the fifth? I can provide video.

There is no question they authored the emails: They do not deny it, and they resigned. That's confirmation. So what exactly do you not concede?

This is gonna be with him for the rest of his career, I'm quite sure. Even Steve Schmidt (McCain's campaign manager) admits it will plague him in any future campaign.

g'nite.
