Officers:

There are those who will defend almost anything you do, on the argument that you are "only human." If you believe this - if you are committed to being "only human," then I invite you to get up, walk out, and get a different job. This is not the job for you.

You have asked for a job which puts you in AUTHORITY over ordinary humans - and by even REQUESTING such a post, you have agreed to be extraordinary. You've promised that you can maintain yourself, while on official duty, as more than ordinary, more than "only."

We are ALL "only human" - but from among us have risen men and women of great renown and accomplishment - women and men whose names are etched in the history books and spoken of with reverence. All of these were "only human;" yet each rose above and became immortal, became more than human - made a difference.

You have applied for this very special work because you want to make a difference in your community, want to rise above the pettiness which "only human" allows you to wallow in, want to aspire to the greatness and humility of service. Your mere application is a promise to be more than "only human" - to never hide behind such a weak excuse. Your application is a promise to keep your head when others lose theirs, to keep your calm when all around you are emotional, to REPRESENT THE STATE to a free people. And if this is not true of you, I invite you to withdraw your application, because this is the standard to which you will be held and by which your actions will be judged.

You are no longer only human. You are now among the less than 1% of human beings who have stepped forward proudly and promised to serve and protect - not bully - their fellows. I have only two words for those of you who are "only human:" GET OUT.

Politics: Beer and Popcorn

The vast majority of the American people support the provisions in President Joe Biden's $3.5 trillion Build Back Better Act.

Some 88 percent believe we should lower the cost of prescription drugs, 84 percent believe we should expand Medicare to include dental care, hearing aids and eyeglasses, 73 percent support establishing Paid Family and Medical Leave, and 67 percent want universal Pre-K. Further, 67 percent believe the federal government should raise taxes on high-income people and corporations to help pay for these desperately needed programs — which is what this legislation does.

So, given this overwhelming support, why is it taking so long for Congress to pass this bill? The answer is simple. Follow the money.

As part of our corrupt, big-money dominated political system, the pharmaceutical industry is now spending hundreds of millions of dollars on lobbying, campaign contributions and television ads to defeat this legislation because it does not want Medicare to negotiate for lower prescription drug prices. In order to increase their profits they want American taxpayers to continue paying, by far, the highest prices in the world for our medicine — sometimes ten times more than the people in other countries.

Last year alone, while nearly one out of four Americans could not afford to fill the prescriptions their doctors wrote, six of the largest pharmaceutical companies made nearly $50 billion in profits and the ten highest paid executives in the industry made more than $500 million in compensation. In order to preserve their corrupt and greedy pricing system, the drug companies hired nearly 1,500 lobbyists, including former leaders of the Republican and Democratic parties, to protect their interests. That is 3 lobbyists for every member of Congress. Unbelievable!

But let’s be clear. Opposition to this bill is not just limited to the pharmaceutical industry.

At a time when millions of senior citizens and people with disabilities cannot afford the home health care, dental care, hearing aids, and eyeglasses they desperately need, private health insurance companies are strongly opposed to this legislation. They are spending tens of millions of dollars to defeat this bill because they do not want Congress to expand Medicare to provide dental, hearing, and vision benefits and they apparently do not want seniors to receive the quality care they need in their own homes.

And it’s not just the health care industry and big drug companies. The fossil fuel industry is launching a major advertising campaign to defeat this legislation because it seems to be more concerned about protecting their short-term profits than addressing the existential threat of climate change.

At a time of record-breaking forest fires, drought, rising sea levels and extreme weather disturbances the fossil fuel industry has, since 2000, spent more than $2 billion on lobbying to protect its special interests and prevent the federal government from making cuts in carbon emissions to protect our planet.

Further, at a time of massive wealth and income inequality — when the two richest people in this country own more wealth than the bottom 40 percent — the billionaire class is vigorously opposing this legislation because it wants to prevent Congress from making the wealthiest people and most profitable corporations finally start paying their fair share of taxes.

The corporate elite seem to love the idea that billionaires have a lower effective tax rate than nurses or teachers and that, in a given year, there are dozens of profitable corporations that don’t pay a nickel in federal income tax.

Let’s be clear. The $3.5 trillion Build Back Better Act will not only expand Medicare, improve home health care for the elderly and disabled, lower prescription drug prices, combat climate change, and demand that the wealthy and large corporations pay their fair share of taxes.

It will cut child poverty in half by extending the $300 a month direct payments for working class parents that expire in December.

It will allow more than a million women to get back into the workforce by making sure that working families pay no more than 7 percent of their incomes on child care and make pre-school free for every 3 and 4 year old in America.

It will end the international embarrassment of the United States of America being the only major country on earth not to guarantee paid family and medical leave as a human right. Under this legislation, we will no longer tell working moms that they must go back to work a week or two after giving birth in order to put food on the table and pay the rent.

It will address the labor shortage in America by making community colleges tuition free so that young people have the opportunity to acquire the skills they need for the good-paying jobs that are going unfilled today.

It will create hundreds of thousands of jobs by building the affordable housing we need so that millions of Americans are no longer paying over 50 percent of their limited incomes on housing and so 600,000 Americans are no longer sleeping out on the street or in homeless shelters.

It is no great surprise that not a single Republican in Congress supports this bill. After all, this is the party that four years ago provided $2 trillion in tax breaks to primarily benefit the wealthy and large corporations, and came within one vote of throwing up to 32 million Americans off their health care.

So, in a tied Senate which has 50 members each of the Democratic and Republican caucuses and a House of Representatives which has a mere three-vote-majority for Democrats, the question of whether we finally deliver consequential legislation to improve the lives of working class families comes down to Democratic unity.

The United States is interfering with and destroying governments which do not allow usury - all of which happen to be the Islamic nations.

All of those nations we have destroyed or are in the process of destroying have one thing in common: Anti-Usury laws.

All of those we trade with and are friendly with do not.

We are being used as the enforcer of the New World Order which our own pResident declared and which all subsequent pResidents have assiduously enforced. First we went to privately issued fiat currency, then we began to force others to do so.

The war aganst Islam has been marketed through the time-tested and long-used tricks of governments throughout history: Use false flag operations to produce the "problem" to which the "reaction" is your original intention. Want war with Spain? Sink your own ship in Havana Harbor. Want into WWII? Leave ships in port which you have advance warning will be bombed by the Japanese. Want to step up operations in Vietnam? Manufacture the Gulf of Tonkin Incident.

Want to wage war on Islam? Have the CIA create false flag groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS, and have the FBI create false crimes through their own agitation of young and impressionable citizens who, without being radicalized by their own government officials as pawns in a larger game, would almost certainly never have attempted the put-up offenses for which they were ensnared.

We are at war with Islam for one reason, and one reason ONLY. They won't play the Babylonian Money Magic game.

WE the people have a significant number of rights that should not be violated

Getting the checks out to taxpayers proved to be a plus for the economy.

The enactment of each round of payments coincided with a significant boost to personal income, as well as consumer spending, in that month. ...

The stimulus payments enacted under the CARES Act were estimated to have boosted the country's economic output by 0.6 percent in 2020, according to the Congressional Budget Office.May 14, 2021

Encourage Biden to do it monthly as a perpetual tax dollar refund ...... just keeps the economy moving. Tax dollars are generated by billions of tax payers which makes we citizens controlling managers.

Once again economic boost checks demonstrated that Taxpayers are the single most effective and legitimate investment on planet earth. WE have a right to our money instead of it being wasted on many sorts of corporate welfare especially the bailing out of corporations. Obviously the USA can afford monthly stimulus checks.

Citizens have a right to:
= Social Security Insurance
= Medicare for ALL Insurance
= Advanced Education for ALL
= job growth and/or entrepreneurship
= Maternity Leave
= Sustainable Living Wage if we want to reduce food assistance
= Safe Working Conditions
= Public Education backed with plenty of tutors for online education
= Clean Water
= Clean Air
= Cleaner Energy
= To Demand and Prosecute Inside Traders no matter what
= To Protect the US Postal Service
= To Prevent Take Over Of The Media by the Few
= Have A Right To Be Free of Politicians Forcing Their Private Agendas On All In America
= How about the right in keeping politics out of health care issues such as Pandemics ?
= The right to be free of voter suppression and expect voter suppression to be prosecuted.

GFY PUNK. Trump  got HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of  Americans KILLED with his LIES and his incompetence. While the rest of the developed world but COVID under control Trump ridiculed people for wearing masks. He bullied governors into reopening too soon and while most countries got COVID under control we had WAVE AFTER WAVE of it.
Here we have a total **** moron on display for all to see!
You try calling Trump a murderer when HE ALONE set the record for getting a vaccine available for the country YEARS before any other vaccine was ever developed, saving MILLIONS of lives around the world!
And the reason you think you can get away with such stupid lies is because the US TESTED MORE PEOPLE THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY!  And when thousands of cases are so mild that the person isn't even aware they have it, AND when doctors and hospitals are given stipends FOR EVERY REPORTED CASE, only a dope like you would not be capable of understanding the reasons why we had more cases REPORTED than any other country!

Then you think you can lie further and claim Trump helped spread the disease by having rallies, when tens of thousands of BLM and Antifa surrounded by Trump-hating Democrats like you spent MONTHS rioting in a dozen cities for months last summer, and now the idiot YOU elected is shipping HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of illegals WHO HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN TESTED to dozen cities across the country!  And MANY of those illegals have communicable diseases FAR WORSE than Covid!  Tuberculosis, malaria, typhoid, polio, AND EVEN 7000 CASES OF LEPROSY have been brought here thanks to idiots that YOU elected, while your ******* Democrats BLOCKED THE BILL IN CONGRESS DEMANDING ILLEGALS BE TESTED!

So stick your lies about Trump up your fat *** and put your hatred where it belongs, RIGHT ON YOURSELF for electing this traitorous buffoon!

A story was out yesterday they were using that gun to shoot beer cans earlier in the day.  Don't know if the armorer was involved.

Greg Gutfeld brought up a good point the other night.  Baldwin, like most of Hollywood types, is anti NRA.  Ok, I am not a member and haven't always supported all of their positions on laws and lobbying.

What the NRA does have is some of the top Firearm Safety Instructors in the country.  If Hollywood could look beyond their hate and realize that there is some good in the NFA, particularly in the safety area, these type of thing may not happen.  Hire an expert NRA Safety Instructor as armorer and safety officer on these sets.  Swallow their pride and use them.  Guarantee this would not have happened, as well as the other alleged mishaps on that set.

The other point is these Hollywood types hate guns.  Many are scared of them.  But here they are making movies that glorify gunfights and violence.  Profiting  from what they despise.

There was a time when certain activities were deemed necessary for the benefit of the state and its citizens, and those things were paid for with tax money, creating an unfortunate layer of beaurocracy, but suppressing some degree of corruption that always comes with profit motive.

For example, criminal justice and incarceration. The state governments, and federal penitentiaries were responsible for housing, punishing and rehabilitating prisoners, at the taxpayers expense. Now, the criminal justice system is privatized, with companies like Vanguard (NYSE VTI) making bank off crime, literally. With profit motive clearly driving criminal justice, the United States prison population has ballooned to the highest in The world… we now incarcerate more people than China or Russia, by far.

Providing clean water used to be a function of city government, that was turned over to Nestle who now charges you by the bottle to drink Evian (naive spelled backwards, a subtle mockery of the great unwashed masses).

phone service was once a public utility, now it is handled by private cellular companies like Verizon.

I could go on, there are many examples. The point is, government has no raison det’re anymore, no purpose, no reason to be, except for one thing… to enforce the will of the oligarchs at the barrel of a gun.

If Nestle runs out of ground water to bottle and sell you, the military will secure them new territory to drain more ground water. If Apple runs out of lithium for to make cell phones and iPads, the military will occupy Afghanistan for 20 years so they can mine more. If Monsanto needs to enforce their IP (privately owned seeds and crops) rights by taking over your farm, the military will be there to evict you off your land.

The previous functions of government are totally taken over by multinationals in the U.S., except for deploying government muscle as a tool of the corporations, and keeping track of SS, Medicare, welfare, etc. (pacify the masses with just enough money to keep them from rioting).

This trend will only continue, government is not public anymore. The multinationals ARE the government for all intents and purposes, and they write the laws and enforce them.. Corporations now effectively govern us all, in the applications of operations that used to be public, are now private, and the biggest difference is, we at least got to vote for the public ******* politicians, but nobody elected the current rulers.

They are unelected rulers who can displace thousands or millions of workers by closing down Walmart’s in one town and opening in another. The power of a Fortune 500 CEO to effect the lives of average citizens is far greater than a Senator or governor. Hail to the NEW chief.. multinational corporations

This is so absurd and so out of touch...I actually question your sanity.

For one thing...the utter contempt that 'progressives' have for the working class has been well known since the 1920s...George Orwell wrote a book 'the road to wigan pier' about this phenomenon. And clearly communists never ended up being good for workers.

But what have you done for working people and small business owners lately?

Well.. you create massive regulations inspired by environment and diversity concerns which dramatically raise the cost of goods, housing, and are very difficult for small business owners to afford compliance with while giving them lawsuit minefield

You decriminalization shoplifting and attack law enforcement in general

You create lockdowns which make it impossible for small and medium business to survive

You talk about how there needs to be less white teachers etc

You attack the energy sector thus reducing available jobs for workers

You expand social programs for non workers.so those people live better off than even workers as if you just want to humiliate the people who want to work

You support mass immigration so that wages remain stagnant and legal citizens have to compete with thr labor force of the entire world

And you laugh and gloat every time workers lose...telling them they deserve it

Certainly workers must feel that your desire to disarm them is based on your desire to simply exterminate them and are merely afraid of violent resistance.

Workers do not merely dislike you...they are terrified of you. They know u want them dead.

You are never going to be able to gaslight workers into feeling otherwise. Don't even try. This is a dumb strategy.

Exactly. The rubes don't seem to mind it much when the Republican party whores itself out to farmers whose livelihoods tanked thanks to Trump's trade wars, or when it whores itself out to corporate America and billionaires by making it possible for them to pay zero in taxes, or by passing off a big GIVEAWAY to the filthy rich as some middle-class tax cut (NOT). Nor do they mind when the GOP whores itself out to the NRA, "proud" boys, neo-Nazis, supremacists, and similar vermin. Not to mention the fact that 11 OF THE LAST TEN RECESSIONS OCCURRED UNDER A REPUBLICAN ADMINISTRATION.

But Black people get a few crumbs? Heaven forbid!!

Africa is full of failed states so any data about it would need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Here are things that can alter rates of transmission: 1) genes. Are Africans asymptomatic less often? 2) vaccination rates..again are they asymptomatic less often? 3) percent of population in rural versus urban environment 4) amount of travel 5) reliability of diagnoses and records 6) how much contact occurs between people for cultural reasons 7) availability of medicine 8) death rates for conditions other than covid (if u die of malaria you can't also die of covid) 9) weather (flu more dangerous in colder climes)

Probably other things I did not take note of.

I can imagine all of these things being a factor more or less. I wouldn't focus on merely one cause

Trump falsehoods over the past four years, from his bull about the stock market and hooey about global warming to disinformation about the legitimacy of the election and bunkum about the coronavirus pandemic. It was exhausting. And numbing. The public’s apathy and despair towards Trump’s lies, researchers point out, were by design: The attacks mirrored a Russian propaganda technique known as the “firehose of falsehood,” which is exactly what it sounds like—relentless, rapid, bogus information. As Mother Jones‘ Mark Follman wrote in October, “Trump is using the autocrat’s playbook. Vladimir Putin’s, to be specific.”Now the Washington Post‘s Fact Checker team has finished its final catalog of the extent of the former president’s efforts to mislead and misinform us. According to its tally, Trump made more than 30,000 “false or misleading” claims during his presidency. Half of those lies were told during his last year in office, according to the Post‘s database:

It was Obama that made war cool for them.  He made the DC Estab cool for them.
Before Obama I respected the anti war movement. Found them perhaps naive but genuine. When they packed their **** up after Obama was elected, not to return when he expanded on Bush's wars, they lost me. When they came out in force after anti war candidate Trump won they revealed themselves to be partisan hacks with shallow convictions.

The modern leftist is truly a broken individual...both psychologically and spiritually.

And I believe I have identified a key method that the elite have used to corrupt the soul of people...it involves identity.

Identity is tied to our sense of purpose. In order to have any meaning to your life you absolutely must feel connected to something with both a legacy and a destiny...something that existed before you were born and will carry on after your death.

Without this...you might as well live like a complete narcissist as if the umiverse will end end you die. And that would be a miserable existence because if the universe ceases to exist in a few decades then absolutely nothing you do matters. This is the fatal nihilism of modernity...and explains why so many people in the so called 'first world' seem absolutely miserable compared to the third world.

The most immediate and most core aspect of identity is imo the family. Your parents are your legacy and if you have children they are your destiny. This is why it is so rare
to find a father or mother who struggles with nihilism..families also tend to look out for eachother...unless they have been made deeply dysfunctional by modernity...so I see them as the origin of human altruism, socialism, and indeed the state. A proper monarchy is based around family.

Also worth noting is that your family cannot change. You were born with your family and it will still be your family when you die. This is another very critical aspect of identity tity...ifnit is based on something immutable then it is solid. You know what you are today and what you will be if you live another 100 years.

Being adopted is imo one of the most difficult things to come to terms with psychologically.
