While children represented only 8.4% of all cases in states reporting cases by age, over 288,000 children have tested positive for COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic.

A smaller subset of states reported on hospitalizations and mortality by age, but the available data indicated that COVID-19-associated hospitalization and death is uncommon in children.

At this time, it appears that severe illness due to COVID-19 is rare among children. However, states should continue to provide detailed reports on COVID-19 cases, testing, hospitalizations, and mortality by age so that the effects of COVID-19 on children’s health can continue to be documented and monitored.

OK, fine George.  Here's a rate comparison that includes the entire populations of the two countries...

Covid-19 deaths per million population:
Germany  110
United States  473

That's right.  The covid-19 death rate per million population in this country is four **** times the covid-19 death rate per million population in Germany.

Why?  We have the orange ****.  They have Angela Merkel, a scientist, not a reality tv show host.

More emotional drivel. CFR is not as important as IFR.

CFR is only remotely accurate once you have a "final tally" (once "new cases" become negligible in #).

Using your "logic" the CFR of Covid would be somewhere around 15-20% if we took a tally 2 weeks in places that suffered the worst breakouts in Italy, Iran, etc.

You were exposed as A FRAUD by GW who posted very reputable links, which you promptly dismissed.

"152,000 victims"

Yes, that's typically what a pandemic does. With a few exceptions like the 2nd wave of the Sp. Flu, it wipes out the most vulnerable and those with significant health problems. It's questionable you are "retired" (presumably 60+) and have lived through at least a few pandemics to not realize this simple, basic fact.

BTW, before you scream about Trump or "But South Korea!", Korea (one of the best responses) uses HCQ.

Yes, they use that drug you and your stupid ilk despise, instead of putting people onto ventilators (and worse, PAYING HOSPITALS TO DO IT), which actually makes people more likely to die from late-stage Covid-19 as the air forces the infection deeper into the lungs.

Like I said, you offered nothing but emotional drivel and propaganda. It would make your head spin if I offered damning evidence of the miscount of total deaths, so I will spare you the headache you would receive from an overload of cognitive dissonance.

More ****!

if COVID-19 is a typical pandemic, you’ll have no trouble listing all the pandemics over the last 60 years that killed over 150,000 Americans in their first four months. We’ll wait.

Deaths are not overstated. Save that noise for the crackpot crew.

I’m not convinced that HCQ is an effective treatment.  I am unlikely to be convinced by a member of the cult on a political forum.  Most of what you and your ilk spew is right wing disinformation. My brief encounter with you suggest that everything you spew is right wing disinformation.

Whose SOK are you, fluffy?

And yet more ****,

The problem with your laughably inept logic is that we do not accurately know the number of SARS-CoV-2 infections. It’s an estimate at best. Over the last month or two we have seen wide ranging estimates.  Agenda driven trump supporters like you are given to choosing estimates that underestimate the risk to a ridiculous degree. There may be individuals who try to overestimate the risk but thus far all the people that you and your ilk have accused of it have turned out to be correct.

IFR estimates were used by politicians who pushed to reopen too soon. How’d that work out?

We know the number of confirmed cases. CFR is an accurate metric. It’s possible that there are symptomatic individuals who have not been tested but it’s highly unlikely that there is a statistically significant number of individuals. CFR is a crude but accurate reflection which is why it is so widely published.

Both CFR and IFR will change over time. Nobody said they didn’t change. Why did you misrepresent?

Keep the childish insults coming, little man. It helps your case.

Good call.

South Korea is convinced that HCQ is not a proven effective treatment. So much so they removed HCQ from their guidelines over a month ago.

The article touted from KoreaBiomed was written on 02-13-2020. Almost 6 months ago.  In the meantime, South Korea did a study with over 200 people that failed to prove HCQ is an effective treatment for Covid-19. That study was reported in the press in April of 2020 and was also  published in the  "International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents" which is behind an Elsevier paywall. A quick moment to say: **** Elsevier!

South Korea removed HCQ from it's guidelines about two months later, in June 2020.

Hang around, Polar1ty's Dad and Uncle (CannonPointer & GeorgeWashington, which is which I can't say) will be by to chide you for not bowing to their favorites huge IQ. You know Polar1ty has a huge IQ, because Polar1ty keeps talking about it like Rainman talking about Wapner. It's also the foundation of all of their inherent bigotry and racism and a damn good portion of their unearned overbearing self-esteem.

Enjoy.

AMAZING! Trump at 50% Approval Rating — Three Points Higher than Obama at Same Point in His Presidency
By Jim Hoft
Barack Obama had a 47% approval rating at the same point in his presidency.

And, as Rasmussen reported earlier, Obama had a 95% positive media.
Trump has a 95% negative media.

A number slightly greater than zero is sill almost zero, wackjob.

And Florida's death rate is roughly seven times lower than that of Democrat NY and NJ.

Yeah, who would be so stupid as to believe the most accurate pollster in the last few elections?

Or the source that got the Russian Collusion Hoax, Impeachment and most big issues right, when the corrupt liberal MSM got them all wrong?
