The 'Idealism' of the GOP is exactly the reason they always lose. But I suspect losing is their job anyway.

always lose?  They have the Senate and the House, and have held the WH 7 out of the last 10 elections.  How do you figure they always lose?

They are unable to pass anything their constituents actually want.

well they are not going to overturn Roe v Wade, of course the GOP will dangle that carrot in front of their pro life base, and those morons are dumb enough to keep believing it could happen.

but they consistently shift the tax burden onto the lowest earners, and GOP voters love that ****.

Nobody votes GOP for tax breaks on the rich. Most of their voters are working class...didnt you know?

that is mostly due to the ever more sophisticated forms of propaganda and brainwashing techniques unleashed on the rural population.  Notice that the hateful right dominates talk radio.

There was a time when that the people in the countryside resisted when business screwed the farmers and the workers – when it implemented monopoly strategies invasive beyond the Populists' furthest imaginings – when it ripped off shareholders and casually tossed thousands out of work – you could be damned sure about what would follow. Not these days.

Out here the gravity of discontent pulls in only one direction: to the right, to the right, further to the right. Strip today's Kansans of their job security, and they head out to become registered Republicans. Push them off their land, and next thing you know they're protesting in front of abortion clinics. Squander their life savings on manicures for the CEO, and there's a good chance they'll join the John Birch Society. But ask them about the remedies their ancestors proposed (unions, antitrust, public ownership), and you might as well be referring to the days when knighthood was in flower.

No. It's the exact opposite. Stupid CNN propaganda that works on the bourgoise middle class does not work on the working class.

That is exactly the same propaganda you are falling for.

The working class know instinctively who hates them. That is democrats. They are not wrong.
