That could be the stupidest OP ever made on this site.
America was energy independent. This means that we, as a country, were a net exporter of oil and gas. Only a Communist-Democrat would ask why a president didn't just declare $2 gas! Very telling, indeed about Blackvegetable. President's of Democratic Republics which are free-market capitalist countries don't DICTATE the price of gas to the electorate.
So if presidents SHOULDN'T interfere in markets, what is it you expect Biden to do about gas prices?Skans » 11 May 2022, 10:10 am » wrote: ↑ America was energy independent. Who said they can’t “interfere”. Why have a policy in anything if it is not designed to “interfere”?Blackvegetable » 11 May 2022, 10:43 am » wrote: ↑ So if presidents SHOULDN'T interfere in markets, what is it you expect Biden to do about gas prices?
it was down to $2.00 a gallon in his third year give or take a dime or two. As I recall it was in his third year he refilled all the reserves back up to capacity. If he hadn't Biden couldn't have done what he did emptying them again.

You said why didn’t he just “declare”! Which is both a dictator thing, and impossible. It is analogous to declaring a minimum wage. Market value of a job function doesn’t change and therefore you disrupt the market to negative consequences.
When you shut down pipelines, when you impose regulations on production and refinement, when you limit new exploration you “interfere” in ways that create the crisis we are in.
You are just really, really bad at making a winning argument. Really bad.
Except that the econometrics don't support your dogma. You said why didn’t he just “declare”! Which is both a dictator thing, and impossible. It is analogous to declaring a minimum wage. Market value of a job function doesn’t change and therefore you disrupt the market to negative consequences.
The Keystone Pipeline served CANADIAN exporters. When you shut down pipelines,
Learn about federal v state jurisdiction.when you impose regulations on production
For example?and refinement,
Not happening.when you limit new exploration

Ever think economists get paid to make mind over matter work socially with currency being something valuable. Hope, faith, charity are pathways to power, wealth, fame marketing symbolism over substance way of life prefered by most wishing now wasn't eternity.Blackvegetable » 11 May 2022, 11:11 am » wrote: ↑ Except that the econometrics don't support your dogma.

1. CANADA. GOOGLE IT, YA DUMB ****!Skans » 11 May 2022, 10:49 am » wrote: ↑****, start with just these three things - I could name 17 more, but why bother. Democrats are idiots.
- stop interfering with pipeline construction through regulation
- stop prohibiting oil and gas exploration on federal lands and work with private industry to develop favorable leases for energy independence.
- stop passing wasteful, inflation-rocketing government handout programs

2. Biden has maintained Grifty's pace of permit issuance. You've been told this for months. Wells are being spudded but not fracked. Biden has no influence on production from public lands.
3. Must we go through the math of this fiction again? TURN OFF FOX, SLACK JAWED IMBECILE.
