I don't care if EV's are mandatory, once they figure out how to: 1) make them fast, 2) make them last 3) make them reliable 4) make them go 1,000 miles on a single charge and 5) can be "fast-charged" in less than 15 minutes.

reality dies in 2027. Question is will homo sapiens reach extinction as well? End of reality doesn't require extinction of the species.

Forget it !

That would be going against all they stand for !

What they want is:

1. make them slow.
2. make them have a short lifespan  . . . especially batteries.
3. make them unreliable.
4. make them go like 200 miles on a single charge.
5. make them need a 5 to 8 hours charge.

The purpose of all this **** is to limit people's  mobility !

By the way  . . .  they're already talking of phasing out the production of fossil fueled cars.

You won't be able to avoid this punch.
No one will !

I have a motorcycle that I will never get rid of.  And, a car that I am not likely to sell any time soon.  As for what my daily driver is, I don't really care all that much.  Anything can be modified, especially EV's. If I were really concerned about going 1000 miles on a single charge, I'd tow a small trailer comprised of 2 or 3 vehicle battery packs.

Competition will cause EV manufacturers to make their cars more convenient and efficient, just as the manufacturers of computers did, just as the manufacturers of washing machines, gas engine cars, cellphones and damn near everything else.

You are a nutcase who sees conspiracies in everything.'No one will take away your gas engine cars or motorcycles. Just as no one took away people's horses.

In most if the towns in the Midwest, there came a time when horses just did not make much sense. One event that took place with regularity was that livery stables burned down. Eventually, the town was down to its last livery stable and when it burned down, it was never rebuilt. And when the city folks horses died, they were not replaced.

As I saw someone point out...most "electric" vehicles are actually coal powered.

They did not point it out, It is not true. They had their head up there *** and enjoyed it, much as you enjoy having your head up your anus.
EV's are powered by whatever source is used to generate the electricity they are charged from.
And even so, they are MORE EFFICIENT than gasoline engines.

Let me correct that...rather than coal, I should have said fossil fuels.  In the US, 61% of the electricity generated is from fossil fuels.  Therefore, most electric vehicles are powered by fossil fuels...because without generated electricity an EV is nothing more than an expensive...and occasionally decent looking...paper weight.

The big focus a few years ago was turning off all elecrical devices to conserve electricity, which is impossible. You can save on a bill but you are not really conserving electricity due to the nature of it. Now everything is going electric. Tools, toys, cars, lawnmowers, etc... Ultimately this puts a larger strain on the grid. Considering the majority of power plants still use fossil fuels the plants need to expand or run longer cycles and burn more fuel to keep up. Where is the "conservation" now? Not to mention Lithium is a mined, non-renewable element that will become in short supply in a few years. Plus lithium-ion technology is toxic and can be unstable. Where is the green aspect of using up resources?

Maybe a car that runs off of hot air and empty promises made by braindead biden and his merry band of know nothing queers, trannys and ***.  There is an endless of that.

That seems a tad on the vindictive side of rude.

However, your spelling and punctuation are perfect.

It's amazing how things balance out nicely. Image

Electric motors are a lot more efficient than gasoline engines: even when the electricity is generated by hydrocarbons.
And if 61% of electricity is generated by hydrocarbons, that means that 39% is not.

I think that there will be a gradual replacement of gas, oil and coal with hydroelectric, geothermal, tidal, wind, solar and perhaps even Thorium atomic generators, and therefore electric vehicles will replace other types of vehicles, not all at once, but gradually.

And all of that doesn’t make anything in my last post untrue.
