That's right, folks!
California (a/k/a Venezuela del Norte) has some of the loosest, least stringent gun laws in the nation.
The result?
Well, a couple of nights ago a gunman, taking advantage of California's loose gun laws, entered a dance hall and shot twenty people, killing half of them. Later on the gunman was cornered and killed himself.
Mirabeau has been warning you people that because of the extremely lax gun laws in Venezuela del Norte that it was only a matter of time before a mass shooting occurred out there!
Wait.
Hold on just a minute while Mirabeau takes a phone call.
Wow!
CORRECTION!
Mirabeau has just been informed that the weapon used by the shooter in Venezuela del Norte has been OUTLAWED in Venezuela del Norte for YEARS.
Never mind.

How could this happen?
The weapon used was ILLEGAL in Venezuela del Norte, so WHY WOULD ANYONE use it?
Doesn't "illegal" mean "ILLEGAL?"
HOW IN THE HELL COULD THIS HAPPEN?

Notice that not one single liberal, let alone a liberal from VENEZUELA DEL NORTE, has DARED to answer the question posed by Mirabeau.
Does ANYONE wonder why?

The surprise isn't that it's in California.... The surprise is it seems to be the usually docile Chinks who are doing the shooting..

When I was a kid in the 1940s we had guns in the house. So did the neighbors and most folks up and down the street. To buy a gun one simply bought it. It was common for chain hardware stores to have their own brands of shotguns which were readily available. One could fine shotguns in the Sears catalog. Where were the mass shootings then? What we are experiencing now results, not from any gun laws, lax or liberal, but from deeply rooted and widespread sociological sickness. We could argue about causes and never reach consensus. Too many drugs? Too much fear? Too much over-reach by government trying to control us? Unsettling political splits? Impending economic doom? Or maybe it stems from, results from, the current inclination for anti-social, illogical mass behavioral changes being forced on us. Most likely those among us who are on the edge react to any or all of the above and fail the test. When anger is a driving force we have no trouble understanding but when one is apparently cool and oblivious to his actions we should be more concerned.
Mass shootings will never be stopped through forced prohibitions. Humans are very good at circumventing such attempts. They will never be stopped by adding thousands of cops to the streets. Mass shootings are much, much different phenomena than guns used in ordinary crimes. They will not successfully be stopped using the same methods. The sickness that allows those on the edge to be triggered into action is the culprit. Since the basis of society is the family and since this elemental unit is being destroyed we can expect the violence to worsen.
Many decades ago government attempted to stop graffiti by locking up spray paints in stores. Customers had to call a clerk to open the cage so they could select what they wanted. It was thought that the kids who did graffiti would stop having access. This is the same kind of thinking that will be used to stop mass shootings. We will be seeing more and more private security cops in places where we never before would have. But... just as the graffiti artists switched gears away from spray paints to other mediums to get around the law then mass killers will today make similar changes. Knives, archery, maybe a sharp double edged sword or spear?
Society is sick. Laws do not, will not and never have cured mental illness. Only fundamental changes in social environment can do that. There are two ways to proceed. The first is to allow the global left it's way. Then everyone will be monitored throughout their lives. Minority Report (the movie) will become reality. The second is to rid society of those things that drive some of us over the edge. The mantra for the first is "you will own nothing and be happy".. For the second it is "give me freedom".
In a sense it is a spiritual dilemma... About this much, much more can be said. Suffice to say we have become spiritually empty.
