Arguing for the sake of...

In the early 80s I observed two workmates channeling Hawkeye and BJ. They would engage in what they perceived as witty repartee, ostentaciously preening in their prefered character roles. I remember being saddened and disgusted at two grown men eschewing working on their own personalities to pretend to be two OTHER grown men who were, themselves, pretend characters. It was just **** sad. 

I began to notice that most people do not argue or debate with any thought of Socrates, or getting to the truth, or improving their understanding of the issue under debate. Rather, they argue to "win," to notch their gun, to make the other fellow feel small. And they argue to impress some audience whose approval is hard currency to their soft personalities. 

The percentage of people on this board who argue for edification is likely larger than the percentage who do so in most ivy league universities. And that is a poor commentary on the state of modern culture - especially given that only a handful on this board argue for edification.

Only in a country where the vast majority care more about feelings and fitting-in could the gender gaslighting have any hope of success. All of Christendom has lost its way - we are well and truly ****.

Anyone with even a fleeting comprehension of 20th century history understands that a mighty purge is coming - a reckoning. Its unavoidable. Even A.I. is not going to save the jackals who are nipping away in the darkness at society's moral underbelly. 2 plus 2 is four, and "because I said so" is a fallacy - not science.

Kiddy dangers are a waste of time. And if I have to put up witht their blasphemies in order to draw posters, what good is the board? How does any good come of that?

Boards that put up with pedophiles abound on the interwebs. They won't be made homeless by my refusal to entertain their perversions.

Well said. I admit that I am guilty. As for my lame excuse, well....I find a lot of the insults hilarious. I laugh at the creative degradations that go on here. I don't care if they are directed at me or not. I genuinely cannot help finding joy in inventive and clever slander onto a fellow member.

I have made comments that say similar things: The people that left here for other places to groom/support grooming chose THAT hill to die on.

Those **** attention whores haven't come back which signals that you are right. They certainly haven't stopped being needy and you know they are still attention whoring elsewhere. That would be at one of the many sites that find sexualizing children to be no problem.

They can accuse this place of being an echo chamber now. (I have seen it). But what is going on at their new homes on the web? Pedo's agreeing with each other?
