Most people cannot afford even a new gas engine car. But used electric vehicles are affordable. There is a Nissan Leaf advertised for sale for $5,500 with 62,000 mils on it, and Chevy Volt Hybrid for $9900.

I think you will find that all cell phones are electric, there are no gasoline of gas powered ones available and never have been.

I have a plug in electric lawnmower that cost me $150, and it requires no maintenance, as have every gasoline motor mower.

Why do you feel that comparing the cost of a new gas burner to a used EV relevant to anything in this thread?

Another idiotic remark from the board chomo. Stay away from the children you sick ****.

Mine has a 5 foot mower deck. Do they make electrics that size?

Plus I have an 8N tractor with a brush hog for the tough stuff.
Probably need a solar panel on that for the extra boost...
...or a thousand foot extension cord.

Department of Energy keeps the reason classified and enforced by EPA.

It has a 15 inch blade and came with a bag and a device that turns it into a mulcher.

I have a city lot and a half. I works fine for me.
I can't imagine paying $3000 for a lawn mower.

Mine is technically a garden tractor. Mower, snowblower, plow.
I have a trailer with it that specifications limit to 1500 pounds. So, I never worry about whatever I'm hauling.
I weighed some 17" long rounds prior to splitting just out of curiosity. They averaged 150+ lbs.
Loaded 10 on and the rig (trailer and tractor) behaved as though there was nothing loaded.

I was snowblowing a few years ago. There were still yellow pages being delivered to mailboxes then.
Big, thick, frozen, buried-in-snowbank book. My snowblower gulped and spit it out into the woods.
I beat the **** out of my stuff and expect it to hold up.

I had a long power outage a couple of weeks ago. It was windy- I was lazy and didn't bother to make a pot of coffee ahead.
Sure enough-power went out... over night... no sleep- up lighting lamps and all the crap to do...

I needed coffee BADLY- pitch black in the house- flickering candles...

Have a propane stove tho.

two attempts-coffee grinds floating around.
Then it dawned on me...
I took a coffee filter- put the coffee in it.. Tied it off at the top with a rubber band... dropped it into boiling water. On low. 30 minutes..
best pot of coffee - ever made!!!!!
my stove top coffee pot is always dirty and old... makes a lousy tasting pot of coffee!
gonna buy a new one.

in old areas or usa, the home electric service lines will no carry the increased loads. to provide power for their ev, people are bypassing their old low amp fuse boxes. and their service lines are melting. some times catching their homes on fire. i sure as hell do not want more government inspectors. but believe the car sales people should be personally financially responsible for all damages. /// i would also include personal financial responsibility to real estate sales people. they should be responsible for all known and unknown defects of the real estate they sold. /// i have never used a realtor. always sold higher than what the realtor wanted to list for. and if there were any unknown defects, i always came to the financial rescue. /// life is great. if you avoid slime ball sales people and politicians.

I am all for ELC cars but what utraliberals don't seem to understand is you can't make a effective one's out of unicorn flatus...which what they think you can do.

BTW: Someone should tell them where ELC comes from.

Something big is coming soon....

Amid growing concerns of security risks to members of Congress, over 50 senators have been issued satellite phones for emergency communication, people familiar with the measures told CBS News. The devices are part of a series of new security measures being offered to senators by the Senate Sergeant at Arms, who took over shortly after the assault on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.The satellite phone technology has been offered to all 100 senators. CBS News has learned at least 50 have accepted the phones, which Senate administrative staff recommend senators keep in close proximity during their travels. In testimony before the Senate Appropriations Committee last month, Senate Sergeant at Arms Karen Gibson said satellite communication is being deployed "to ensure a redundant and secure means of communication during a disruptive event."

Have you ever wondered why those used E cars are inexpensive? Because of the cost of new batteries, ****. And they are a pain in the ***. Those cars are **** for taking long trips. The cars are here, but the proper and convenient charging infrastructure is not. Think of the hazardous waste which is produced when disposing of used batteries. No, it's not ALL recyclable.
Some conservatives drive E cars, but liberals and *** really covet them the most.
