Does anyone know if there are statistics showing how many of the 70 million who voted for Trump are deluded into thinking the election was stolen from him vs. normal people who voted for him just because he's a Republican and accept the defeat like any other election?

This poll really shows the discrepancies and lies that the Republicans have been fed by there dear leader Trump.

52% of Republicans think Joe Biden was the main culprit of and the person that incited the violence at the Capital....

This is a huge problem.

The press, both print and electronic, mostly choose to put out content designed to get the highest ratings.  Good fiction beats out fact most of the time.
Unfortunately, many uninformed people are not intellectually equipped to tell lies from truth.
So they have been taken in by lies.
That's how we got Trumpism.

This is without doubt after covid-19 and the economy what this administration has to address no matter how ugly it gets this will ultimately destroy this country if we don't get a handle on this. And I don't know what the answer is it's probably **** but what can we do.

I agree how can someone with a straight face actually believe in the lies that the snake oil salesman has sold them.

It's beyond disgraceful, how can you seriously think that Joe Biden is the one at fault for the capital storm?

He didn't have a rally 3 hours before, he didn't say on a National Debate stage, stand down and ready.

Facts do not matter to these people, they are fueled by all of the lies and promises there dear leader has glimpsed at doing.

Well there has to be some pre conceived beliefs to begin with and sadly at least half are racially motivated.
First is a feeling of victimhood that minorities are being given opportunities instead of earning them like they feel they do but our history has proven good jobs and opportunities where denied to minority communities for most of our history. Affirmative action and other government efforts to lift these communities was met with strong resentment from white households.
There is also a strong belief that Islam is pure evil and we should not ever allow another person from a Islamic country to ever enter this country again, Trump did exactly what they wanted with his attempted Muslim ban which failed.
The country is losing its masculinity with progressive left leaning laws that address acts of intimidation and discrimination, they think looking the other way is okay.
There is a lot to overcome and probably the most difficult is convincing or at least getting them to listen to how Donald Trump has lied over the years. The challenge is that here is someone who talks about the same issues the same as they do who has ascended to the presidency because to them what he says is basically divine and beyond reproach.

Doesn't anyone remember Donald's failed Atlantic City Mirage?
I mean, doesn't anyone remember the 1980's?
It wasn't that long ago.

I'm looking at the breakdown of the numbers there and it looks somewhere between 30 to 33 million voters have really embraced this whole movement so basically 10% of our population is **** in the head right now.

These are people who want to break away from the United states and claim a significant amount of territory as thier own and of course keep the nukes that happen to be within this new territory and what good are they without codes?

These next 10 years are going to be really interesting to see how either this revolt is extinguished or it reaches new levels that put this republic in more dire consequences.

All of them. There isn't a single Republican I'd try to save from a sinking ship.

John McCain was the last great Republican.  He was a real hero.

Since then, the party has been dog ****.

I remember a conversation I had with my father, not too long before he died (in 2006, I think).  I asked him whether or not he could admit that George W. Bush was an awful President.  He said, "Yes.  You're right.  He's been pretty bad."

"But you know what," he continued, looking me square in the eye, "It would only have been worse with a Democrat."

He wasn't the only one to feel that way.  I think it's a mistake to see America as a partisan nation.  We're more an anti-partisan nation.  Most of those who vote for Republicans do so not out of any love for Republicans but out of hatred and fear of Democrats.  Similarly, I'm not the only one who always votes for candidates with a "D" after their name out of an instinctive and well-earned distrust of those with an "R" after their name.  It isn't that we love our tribes, it's more that we hate the other tribe.  I suspect this isn't accidental.

74 million people voted for Trump.  But I suspect many of them recognized him as a monster.  They were simply more worried about Democrats.  They had been told, after all, on many, many occasions, that Democrats wanted to kill babies, take away everyone's guns, and implement totalitarian socialism.  When you've been brainwashed into believing that institutions are inherently untrustworthy, you vote for those who promise to undermine the institutions.  How many were duped into believing the election was stolen?  Clearly a majority.  What can we do?  I wish I knew.
