Covid Is Not A Hoax

For most of us, the title of this thread would undoubtedly invoke a "no duh" response, as would seeing a composition titled, "The Sun Is Hot" or "Water Is Wet" because one would THINK that, after what has transpired with this now three year, worldwide pandemic and this nation having reached a milestone of ONE MILLION deaths from covid (by some estimates vastly undercounted), such a statement of FACT would be wholly unnecessary.

Yet, here we are, three years hence, and with new cases of infections and deaths beginning to climb again (only counting those reported), and there is still a significant number of obstinately persistent and WILLFULLY ignorant individuals who are running about trying to convince the rest of us that covid is nothing more than a "case of the sniffles"

and that vaccines are ineffective in minimizing the more severe complications (such as death) that the more vulnerable may face from contracting this virus.

Willfully ignorant people who continue to rail against masks, mandates, and safe practices, while simultaneously embracing disproven quack cures.

Right winged judges and  local elected representatives who continue to undermine efforts to put into place safeguards for air passengers and those in the workforce.

They, their MAGA legislators and their right winged pundits, continue to be hell bent upon politicizing any and all measures designed to mitigate the consequences of this pandemic and ensure the safety of the people.

In doing so, they try to pin all the blame on Joe Biden for the deaths that have occurred since the beginning of his Presidency, a President who has advocated for getting the vaccine, who has promoted and attempted to establish safe practices, and who has provided pandemic relief for Americans, even as EVERY ONE their own lawmakers VOTED AGAINST IT -

instead of their "chosen one" Oval Office occupant who, by his own admission, lied to the American people from DAY ONE, calling the virus a "Democratic hoax," obstructing, withholding, and contravening medical information and sound advice, while promoting fake cures and bleach injections, shaming mask wearers, and inciting protests against safe measures.

The con-man who almost single-handedly turned what SHOULD have been a unified response to a NATIONAL EMERGENCY, into a culture war.

Make NO mistake. America's Covid death rate IS WHAT IT IS largely BECAUSE OF DONALD TRUMP and the right's culture war against science, medicine, and KNOWLEDGE, a war began by a liar who placed his OWN interests, HIS candidacy, ABOVE THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

And those who followed this deceiver, who've bought into the lie, want to continue this war of lies, cover ups, and disinformation. In their obstinacy, they refuse to acknowledge the effectiveness of vaccines, they don't want to follow safe practices, and they don't want US to follow them either. They are a lost cause. Forget them.

FACT: Covid is REAL and it's still with us. Do what you need do to protect yourself, your loved ones, and minimize the risks as best you can.  Stay safe.

I don't know about that.  Turns out fauci lied when he said that if you get the experimental injection, you won't get covid.  He was pushing the idea that you receive immunity from them when he knew better.

He also lied by omission when he kept his big mouth closed as labs around the world set the cycle-threshold of the PCR-test at 40.  He knew full well that a cycle-threshold of anything over 35 would spit out meaningless results.  Is he one of the scientifically illiterate loudmouths you're talking about?
