I think it was that evil and diabolical Clinton machine. Had to be. Some poll or two showed her and Christie neck and neck.

I think Christies was made aware and then left to go to sleep. He will probably announce a full investigation then tell us the results will be made public after whatever the next important election.

This is a stop gap measure to divert away from the ACA until immigration takes the stage very shortly.

Here's the deal. You don't fück with people's commute. Happened here last year. Closed 2 of the 3 bridge tunnels from Newport News/hampton to the south side on the same weekend. 40 minute drives turned into 6 and 7 hour adventures.

Can't wait until the truth comes out on this one. Not the skews truth, but the real truth.

Regardless of what I think about Chris Christie he is a pretty good politician. So with that said exactly how does having the PA shut down three lanes punish a mayor that did not endorse him? Christie had to know that if this one came out it would go due to hi future political aspirations. And if he did know about it and allowed it he is pretty fucking stupid.

That's what I was wondering, how the Dem mayor was supposed to be affected by this. .

It is possible is aides did this on their own for their boss and without his knowledge.

Lawrence O'Donnel made the same point. But, how difficult is it to imagine him competent to hold national office if he DIDN'T know?

The "I didn't know" defense has become quite popular in the last decade. Presidents have been re-elected using it.

Ps. I am not sure I want him as president. At the moment I think he would be a better gift for the progressives.

True! But, some "I don't knows" are more believable than others.

A question I've asked that cons don't seem to want to touch is: If Christie were actually elected, what other event could do more to decisively split the GOP?

Christie wouldn't get elected as with a split GOP. His election would not split the GOP. HIs actions AFTER the election could. Look at Boehner and Mconnell. Their actions are splitting the GOP.
