Isn't it weird that the party of Lincoln is defending the rebel flag and the Confederates heros?

So if you listen to right wingers the southern strategy never happened. But the right wing is fighting to keep Confederate statues up. The ones that killed american troops.

Not at all. Up until the 60's, the republican party was the party of northern liberals.  Racist southerners were the democrats.

Then Nixon tried to get southern votes by pandering to racism. The racist southerners flocked to the repub party, and the liberals left in disgust.

The point is that, no matter the party name, the party of southern conservatives is ALWAYS the party of ugly racists and violent traitors.

Racists are politically homeless after the democrats finally kicked them out in the 1970s. Anyone that believes the KKK started voting for Yankee Republicans has never met a southern white racist. The notion is silly. The parties didn't switch, democrat racists were left homeless.

             True,
their argument that the 2 Parties simply switched jerseys & ideologies is a myth...  Guys like George Wallace, Bob Byrd and others remained on Team Democrat...  Also, much of the Southern Vote drifted to the Repubs after the Anti God, Anti Christian Wing of the Democrats began to rise.

No Nixon harbored the southern conservative racists.

The Confederates were hoping for foreign help through most of the war. They knew they were going to need help from the beginning.

The passage of the Civil Rights Act in 1964 led to an exodus of Southern Democrats from that party.
And the Republican Party shifted it's rhetoric to appeal to whites who rejected the civil rights movement.

Not at all. Learn from history or keep recycling the same mistakes each generation there after. Obviously your well trained mind in on a one track crazy destination to self destruction of lifetimes ignoring why life kinetically never lives beyond now.

They know that. They just wanted to jerk each other off with faux outrage.

It didn't though. I know that is was is popularly taught, but the truth is the south didn't turn red until the early 90s. Racist whites in the south remained and remain politically homeless.

Republicans are for equality. Promoting equality, real equality, is now considered racist. We refuse to have have a low expectation of blacks. We don't believe in affirmative action and unchecked welfare. Pointing to Asian, Indians, and other successful brown people as proof of the defeat of systemic racism is called racist.

Northern liberals have never been on the wrong side of the race issue.

You are right, though, that it is ALWAYS southern conservatives who have been on the wrong side of the race issue.
Good point!
